Meet Our Friends
Most people first heard about MND through rugby player Rob Burrows heroic fight with the disease. Rob’s legacy lives on through his teammate Kevin Sinfield, who continues to raise funds for the cause.
MND affects some 5000 people in the UK at any one time. 6 people die of the diseae in the UK every day. Worldwide, the number of patients is closer to 500,000 at any one time. Because nothing has been done to prolong life in any meaningful way, we remain a small community. Yet, once science catches up, if we increase the life expectancy to 10 years, we would quickly make up the size of a large city.
